Raised in Scottsdale, Arizona, Krista graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Business.
In 1996, after a short expedition in the jungle of corporate America, she returned to graduate school, receiving her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Specializing in small animal practice, Krista lived
and worked in Salt Lake City, UT prior to moving to Grand Junction. Once here, she worked as an associate veterinarian until opening her own practice in March, 2003. Her areas of special interest include internal medicine and oncology (cancer treatment).

At home, she is kept company by a huge mixed
breed dog called Maloney, and several house cats. Maloney often accompanies her to work, and is happy to say "Hello" to any and all visitors, especially those bearing treats!
